The family of Ralph Westland announces his peaceful passing at Victoria Manor, Lindsay Ontario on Monday, January 7, 2019 in his 85th year. Born and raised on a farm near Markham to the late Ralph Sr. and late Ida Westland. They relocated to the farm near Oakwood in 1957. Ralph was the husband of the late and dearly missed Lynda Westland (2001). Dear father to Vanda Lynn of Strathroy, and Shawn Westland and his wife Molly of Oakwood. Affectionately referred to as 'Papa' by his grandchildren Phil and Melissa Westland. Ralph is lovingly missed by his wife Geraldine (Geri) of Cambray, and her daughters Holly Ivens of Woodville and Donna Webster of Richmond Hill. Predeceased by his loving three sisters and brothers in law; Lois and Deward Wilson, Eleanor and Len Houghton, and Ruby and Edwin Christiansen. Fondly remembered by his sisters in laws and brothers in law; Nancy and Hugh Smith of Oshawa, Marg and Neil Gilbank of Bowmanville, Pat and Gerry Quesnel of Belleville and Dave and Joan Breault of Oakwood. Remembered by many nieces and nephews. Sincerest appreciation to the staff at Victoria Manor and the many PSW's who cared for him in his last years. The family of Ralph Westland will receive friends at the JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION & TRIBUTE CENTRE, 8 Princes' St. W., Fenelon Falls on Thursday, January 10th for visitation from 12:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow.
